Jordan Kamprath has taken over the reigns as the new head coach for the Comox Valley Glacier Kings. Kamprath is a former Glacier Kings player where he played parts of 3 seasons with Comox Valley and last year served as their assistant coach. He has also played for the Campbell River Storm and had a short stint with the Powell River Kings of the BCHL.

This decision should add some stability to a team who had three different coaches in 2017-18. He is already well-liked and respected by his players and has been on several recruiting trips this past off-season.

Kamprath said he can't wait to get started in his new position, "Absolutely. I’m excited, and of course nervous. That being said I am confident in my ability as a coach and I think the organization will have a good season moving forward."

Glacier Kings co-owner Marsha Webb says one of the big reasons Jordan was hired was because he was, “All in” which is one of the most important characteristics of what this organization needs right now. Jordan has already been running the team for about a month now so this decision by ownership simply makes it official. I for one am very excited about the upcoming season with Kamprath in charge. In my books, this was the right decision. As the saying goes however, only time will tell.
